We were in the area for a wedding on the Monday and my wife convinced me to play a round on Sunday afternoon. After the 5th I stopped being concerned about my score so that I could fully appreciate the beauty of the remaining holes. What a fabulous course! I would have loved to have lingered even longer to take in the views.
I also tell the lads in Australia about this golf course. It is a magical place. I hope the golf course in heavan is as good as Nairn and Portnoo.
We would like to pass on our thank (although a bit late) for the opportunity to play a magnificent test of golf. We wnet out for th Cahrity day for Donegal Hospice and had a glorious round of golf and a lovely meal afterwards. We hope to return soon. Go raibh mile maith agaibh
We played yesterday as a group of 20, course was great but it was my first time receiving such great hospitality at a golf club. First class, warm atmosphere, great food and service all day. A real pleasure to play and visit. TR
Recently visit Portnoo for the first time in 6 years, AS per previous visits the course itself fantasic as always . the new holes a bit tricky but loved the challenge. Was disappointed when went in to the new club house and Sean Murphy was no longer there to welcome me. missed Sean as he was always there on my previous visits. It just wasnt the same without his smiling face and welcoming hand sake. on a brighter note the new building is great
I have played great courses all over the USA. (Whistling Straits, Oakland Hills, Sand Hills, Torrey Pines, etc.) I have played most of best of Scotland and Ireland. Narin and Portnoo is in my top 5. A must play if your on the Island. I plan a return trip. Tony Mancilla, Escanaba, Michigan, played N&P October, 2010
I don't play golf but myself, my partner and our daughter were in the area last week and we had the most fabulous meal in the restaurant. And the staff were so friendly and helpful . Very impressed and satisfied customers.
Played a few round here over the last week, the course and scenery are magnificent. The set up is true test of golf, with the 8th and 15th Tees being unique in their locations.
Thanks to Daragh in the shop and the few members whose company I enjoyed on the course.

Just back from a short holiday in Narin & Portnoo where I recorded my first ever hole in one on the 7th! Thank you N&P for a fantastic memory. Also for the kind hospitality and wonderful golf course
Had a great visit last thursday 5th august. The scenery was amazing, te golf challenging but thoroghly enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone.
Grew up and played hundreds of rounds of golf on this fabulous golf course. I have lived in the US for the past 30 years but I have yet to play a more scenic or more beautiful links. I tell a lot of the lads I play with about it. They don't get it. It will always remain a special place for me. Going there in a few weeks and looking forward to playing the new holes.

HI I WAS TAKEN TO PORTNOO BEACH BY MY GRAND FATHER IN THE EARLY 40s WHEN I WAS A CHILD STAYING AT WOOD HOUSE I NOTE WITH INTREST MY GRANDFATHER WAS PRESIDENT FOR A FEW YEARS I DID NOT KNOW THAT. VERY INTERSTING
We'll be over next week and we're looking forward to the visit.
We've visited many times and always had great fun.
Have the greens been hollow-tined? If not, will you leave them for a couple of weeks?
Cheers

Thanks so all who made our visit to Narin & Portnoo Golf Club on August 17 & 18 so special. My brother, John, and I appreciated the hospitality of Michael Glynn, Charlene & Michael Kennedy, Tom Plunkett. We played 54 holes at your great course. Many people talk about the fantastic views, but they sometimes forget to mention the fantastic links golf to be played. We made many stops on this trip to Connemara, Carne, Enniscrone, Donegal, County Sligo, Rossapenna, Portsalon, and Cruit Island, but leave no doubt, our favorite spot on the West Coast of Ireland is Portnoo, home of the Narin & Portnoo Golf Club. Again, thanks for the kindness, and may our paths cross again.
A tough challenge on a beautiful course. Great value for money.
A classic links.
