The first of our “Majors” takes place this weekend with The Captain’s Prize over Saturday and Sunday. The Stableford format will favour the mid to high handicappers and amongst the favourites who are in form at the moment are Declan McMenamin, Stephen McHugh, Kevin McCready, Sean Callaghan and Frankie Quinn.
With many of our members hoping to travel to Croke Park and support Anthony Thompson and the Donegal team in the All Ireland semi final against Cork on Sunday 26th August, the President’s Prize scheduled for that day has been deferred for a week to Sunday 2nd September.
